2010 Pinot Noir $30
Displaying ripe dark fruits and warmth across the palate. The natural acids, which are characteristic of our southern location, give the wine grip and length. This is aided by the fine, well-balanced tannins and beautifully integrated oak, to give the wine the structure to age graciously. The extra time in oak the Reserve receives, allows the power, fruit and structure of the wine to come to the fore.
This wine will handsomely reward those who have the
patience to cellar it for another two to five years.
2009 Pinot Noir $30 (3 x Bronze Medals)
Vintage 2009 was a vintage all grape-growers were glad to see the end of. While a very cool spring/summer did produce very low yields, the end product was excellent quality fruit. This was the perfect raw material for the winemaker to produce fantastic wines. This wine displays intense ripe berry fruit and spicy pepper flavours, nicely balanced with subtle oak. Match with your favourite gourmet pizza, mushroom risotto, poultry or meat dish. Voted best 2009 Tasmanian Pinot Noir by Master of Wine, Bob Campbell at the Pinot Noir Workshop, Hobart International Wine Show 2009. Bronze Medal at the Aust. Winemakers Show, Hobart International Wine Show 2010 and Tasmanian Wine Show 2011.
